Trude Henderson can draw on her 27-year-long career in the high reliability organizational cultures of the healthcare and nuclear aerospace sectors – ones in which the highest focus and consistency are critical. Equipped with these kinds of expertise and experience, Ms. Henderson is uniquely qualified to understand the need for a product like Identify’s collaborative technology platforms, the result of decades of research aimed at empowering organizations to achieve operational excellence.

It was Ms. Henderson’s first career as a Medical Radiologic Technologist, working on the cutting-edge of scientific progress in one of the fastest changing industries, that helped pique her interest in disruptive technologies. She eventually transitioned from radiographing “bones to bombs” in nuclear aerospace manufacturing as a Quality Assurance Technician and Technical Trainer. Trude has said that she learned that, “even the most highly-trained professionals can make mistakes, but in the nuclear industry, you had better get it right the first time and every time because the consequences could be huge.”

Ms. Henderson maintains that what other industries can gain from these unique insights, in addition to safer operations, is an understanding of what characteristics and behaviors create conditions that produce exemplary or “high reliability” performance, and then of the sustainable results of adopting and applying these lessons over time. She said,

What practice owner doesn’t want to be able to provide high-quality treatment and a better patient experience with fewer patients falling through the cracks?”

In 2016, she was the first to introduce High Reliability Organizational (HRO) concepts to the dental industry.

Prior to consulting in the medical and dental industries, Trude developed and implemented training and leadership development programs for companies, designed to inspire a culture of operational excellence and foster better leadership, teamwork and customer service.

Ms. Henderson holds undergraduate degrees in Radiologic Technology and Business Management, and an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Bellevue University.
